Hover Rigs - Cindy Rigs - Damiki Rigs - Moping - Strolling

Excel at one of the hottest bass fishing techniques on tour with the ALX Rods ZOLO Hover. Crafted specifically for the art of Hover Strolling/Damiki Rig fishing, a red-hot technique dominating top-level tours with multiple wins and consistent top 5 finishes. We partnered with winning pros to develop an exceptional Hover Rig fishing rod!

This technique demands finesse and precision - keeping your soft plastic bait at the same level as the fish for extended periods to draw strikes. The ZOLO Hover's extra-fast action is the key. It lets you gently manipulate the bait and impart natural movements, avoiding sudden jerks that might spook your quarry.

Once you’ve found suspended fish using a forward-facing sonar (FFS), you may need to cast 50-60 feet in front of your boat to target suspended schools.  The 7’3” length of the ZOLO Hover allows for long, precision casts, so you don’t have to worry about getting too close and spooking the bass.

Whether you're fishing in shallow or deeper waters, the ZOLO Hover excels, accommodating lure weights from 1/8 to 1/2 oz and a line rating of 6-12 pounds. It's lightweight, with a comfortable 12" handle, and boasts ten guides for ideal line control.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to master the art of Hover Strolling fishing with the ALX Rods ZOLO Hover. Elevate your finesse game, cast farther, and bring home those elusive, hard-to-catch suspended bass.

    Perfect design

This rod is spot on for the technique it was designed for. Did some damiki rig fishing in 70’ plus water and it performed great. The action played out every fish perfectly and put every fish that hooked up in the boat.

    Perfection!

This rod is absolutely perfect for damiki and strolling techniques. The length, power, and action are on point! I’ve thrown swimbait heads up to 1/2 oz with no issues. The length and action is perfect for loading the lure on casts, long or short, but also has the backbone to bury the hook on long casts when fish bite. The sensitivity is exactly what you expect from the Zolo series; I can feel the lightest bites.

    Great Got Me the Win.

Great rod. I purchased a couple of these to try out as soon as they were released. I actually used this rod to fish the X-Nanahan +2 and a Nishine Spybait. Both were got key bites and this rod was perfect for those tiny baits. Got the win with these rods on Bullards Bar, one of the strangest lakes you will ever fish as there are a lot of 1lb or less spots and then there are GIANTS. Nothing in between. Not sure how that is possible... Anyways, don't be fooled by the name. This rod will perform many light-line tasks.
