ENOX Strike Casting Rod

Pitching jigs around docks, laydowns, and cover demands accuracy, sensitivity, and the power to drive the hook home. The ENOX Strike is built as a feel-focused heavy powered rod that loads cleanly for pitching while delivering the backbone needed to control fish in tight quarters.

Description

Techniques like pitching jigs and Texas rigs require a rod that balances sensitivity with controlled power. The Strike is tuned with a responsive tip that loads easily for accurate pitching while maintaining the backbone needed to drive larger hooks and steer fish away from cover. Its crisp, highly sensitive blank transmits bottom composition clearly — allowing anglers to distinguish rock, sand, and grass while maintaining full control through the hookset and fight.

Fantastic Rod

I was looking for a rod that would be used primarily for pitching and flipping around docks and lay downs. This is my favorite style of fishing. I have always used rods in the 200$ range. I wanted to buy a really good rod for this one application. I usually flip 1/4 to 3/8 weights. This rod EXCELLS at this. Even with a 1/4 ounce and a little zoom speed craw, the tip on this rod will sling the bait as far as i would want it to. Now as far as sensitivity goes, I was blown away. I came from the St Croix Victory line. I like the tip on the St Croix rods very much. I like the tip on the Strike even better. I am not sure how to describe sensitivity other than "sharp". Instead of feeling a dull thud on a bite, or a slight heaviness when dragging over rocks, this rod has a very "clean, crisp, sharp, hard" feeling. When using flouro, I could tell the difference between, rock, sand, weeds, very easily. I will slowly be upgrading all of my bottom contact rods to Enox rods. They are just amazing.

I fish 3-4 times a week, and have been fishing since 1985

Great for lighter baits too

Called Alex and wanted a recommendation for a pitching rod. I wanted something for 3/8 oz lures and was a little concerned about the 1/2 oz starting weight. Alex made the point about taking the weight of the lure and any trailer weight on a jig into consideration. Havn't been fishing with it yet, but pitched a 3/8 jig around the yard and handles that weight flawlessly. Looking forward to making full use of this rod this year,

Incredible Ros

Picked up a Strike and it has quickly become my favorite jig rod. Looking to replace my high-end rods from other manufacturers going forward.

Well done ALX team!

Awesome

I've been looking for the perfect jig rod and this is the one. I have been a loyal Gloomis GLX person for years this rod has changed my mind. It's very lite and sensitive. I was scared when I order it being heavy action (did not want a broom stick), it's perfect and the craftsmanship is what you would expect. I've only caught a couple of fish on it,but it has exceeded my expectations. I do own 5 other ALX rods in the ZOLO series love them too but this ENOX is awesome.
