IKOS Thunder - 7'6", X-Heavy, ModFast Casting

The IKOS Thunder is a brute force, rippin’ lips powerhouse. Our largest, strongest rod in the IKOS lineup has a ModFast action that is absolutely incredible for thick cover and hardcore hooksets. Fish are fought in the belly of the rod so you gain leverage over that monster.

    Thunder for the win!

This is my second Thunder, one is used for flipping light cover and this one is used for speed cranking. Cranking in the 15 foot range and this rod is the perfect length for that long cast and the moderate fast tip is extra cushion for the braid to mono leader. Plenty of back bone gives me confidence when I trigger that reaction bite.. leaps and bounds above the competition!! ALX

    Awesome light cover Flip/Pitch Rod

Light, sensitive and strong. Perfect for me to flip/pitch light cover and be confident I have a rod that’s going to allow the fish to get the bait, not let me jerk it away and keep them pinned.. 10/10

light weight and easy to use for hours without wearing out my forearms. This is my new favorite.

THE go-to Flipping and Pitching Rod!

I love this rod for flipping, pitching, and punching. The moderate fast action is perfect to detect bites without the fish feeling the resistance. I was missing several fish with my fast action heavy rod in close quarters as the fish would almost rip the rod right out of my hand before I could set the hook. The moderate fast action of this rod allows for just enough give in the tip to accommodate that issue and then still has plenty of backbone to heave them out of the structure or thick vegetation. This rod rocks for flipping, pitching, and punching!
