    Promise 7

I have had a promise 7 for 2 seasons now and I love this rod. I have done everything from weightless flukes, frogs, t rigs and everything in between. Where this rod has really found a home with me is throwing a frog. As soon as March starts I am throwing a frog every time I go out and if there eating too like last year I don’t put it down all day. That being said you don’t want to get worn out from walking a frog all day. Well with this rod you won’t. This rod is very light in the hand and fits like a glove. If your looking for a great frog rod look no further. I have had no issues walking frogs in place or horsing them from
The nastiest places on the rivers I fish.

    Great Rod!

I currently have 6 ALX ZOLO rods and 1 IKOS. I wanted a multi purpose rod for my collection. For me there was no question that it was going to be another ALX rod. I love my IKOS Hustler for crank baits; the quality of this rod for the price can not be beat. I decided to go with the IKOS Promise 7 over the Promise 73 because I felt that the shorter rod might give me better casting accuracy. My rod shipped fast and thorough from ALX. The service that you receive from ALX is second to none. I plan to get an ENOX for my arsenal this year, but if you are looking for a high quality rod at a great price, look at the ALX IKOS series; you will not be disappointed!

    Outstanding

Last year I began bass fishing very heavily. 20-30 hours per week. I went out and bought a spinning rod and reel, having never used a baitcaster before. I quickly realized the limitations of a spinning combo for an all-purpose setup. So I began researching relentlessly for a casting rod. I stumbled upon ALX and loved that they prioritized US made materials and US labor as much as possible. I was looking for a general purpose casting rod, as at the time I was only fishing from shore and couldn't carry a ton of technique specific rods all the time. I decided the Promise 7 was the best choice, and I was absolutely right. I threw everything on this rod. Crankbaits, jerkbaits, jigs, frogs, spinnerbaits, Texas rigs, topwater... you name it. With the exception of extremely light, finesse stuff like weightless wacky rigs, ned rigs, etc. The Promise handled all of it flawlessly. I can't speak highly enough of the durability, sensitivity and performance of the rod in all applications. If you want 1 single rod that can handle the broadest spectrum of techniques and that you can count on to hold up, this is the one. I recently purchased an Oxim and a Zolo to add to the lineup, and can't wait to get them out and working once the ice melts. Thanks ALX for a great product, and keep it here in the US! By the way,, I myself would be willing to pay a little more for a rod made with even more US components.

    Great General Purpose Rod

I bought the Ikos Promise 7 last year on Black Friday and I broke my PB (10.72lb) on this rod. I had it paired with a Shimano Bantom 8.1:1 throwing a Picasso Shock Blade Chatterbait. This rod is very sensitive and now it is my lightweight flippin rod. It is a little on the stiffer side but overall a great rod. It is very light weight and I really like the eva foam/ cork split grip handles. I think that really adds to the sensitivity. You won't go wrong if you buy this rod as a general purpose rod. It's a great buy IMO.
