Description

Shaky heads, finesse jigs, Ned rigs, and small worm presentations require a rod that balances sensitivity with control. The Maestro is a general-purpose spinning rod workhorse. Its responsive tip works lighter baits naturally while transmitting subtle bites clearly through the blank. Its balanced backbone provides the hook control needed to keep fish pinned on light wire hooks, making it a dependable spinning rod for anglers who rotate through multiple techniques throughout the day.

Best finesse rod

The Maestro is the best dropshot, ned rig, shakey head, and blade bait rod that I have ever found. It is super light, sensitive, and powerful. I have 2 and they are rigged at all times. ALX Zolo rods are the bomb. I have about a dozen and will certainly add more.

Un-Believable!!

Finally had a chance to try out my Maestro Rod and could not believe the difference in sensitivity and action from most of my other average cost rods. It had me over-reacting to almost anything and everything till I got used to it. This is my go-to inshore rod from here on out!!

This is an awesome rod. Sensitive, light, quality.

An awesome finesse rod

This was my first of five rods I’ve purchased from ALX now as I’m slowly converting from G Loomis to ALX. This is a perfect rod for Wacky, Ned rig, or any other finesse application where you need the utmost sensitivity, but yet have a rod with a backbone to get him out of the nasty areas they like to hangout in. If you’re wanting a rod built as good, if not better than the premium rods and at a fair price range it would behoove you to give ALX a try.

Perfect Shakeyhead Rod

I am VERY particular about my shakeyhead rods and I have tried just about everything that is available off the shelf as well a a few custom builds and I was still seeking something better. I called Alex and explained to him what I was looking for in a shakeyhead rod and he recommended the Maestro. I've been fishing with the Maestro for about 3 months now and I must admit that it is absolutely perfect! I sometimes drop down to a 3/32 ounce head for fishing riprap and the Maestro has no problem accurately placing the light bait. I know of at least 3 people who have fished with me as co-anglers/practice partners who have purchased a Maestro after trying one of mine. If you are looking for a shakeyhead rod to handle 3/32 to 1/4 ounce baits, I can unequivocally recommend the Maestro without any hesitation!
