Description

The extra 3” of length changes how the rod performs in key situations compared to the Hammer 7. Longer flips under docks become easier and more accurate, while the extra reach helps pick up slack quickly when a fish bites on a long pitch or cast. When dragging football jigs or Carolina rigs offshore, the longer blank moves more line on the hookset and keeps steady pressure during the fight. At the same time, the Hammer 73 still maintains the balance and strength needed to pull fish away from docks, brush, and shallow cover without feeling bulky in hand.

    Love my ALX Rods

    This is my 3rd ALX rod (2 zolo''s,1 Ikos) which I really like, especially American made. I was looking for a good C-rig rod and I definitely found it with the Ikos Hammer rod.

    Exceptional performance for the price

    This is my second alx rod. I have a zolo series that I absolutely love and wanted a more general purpose jig/ Carolina rig rod. First trip out this winter with the hammer 73 and I was boat flipping heavy smallies on 3/4 oz football jigs. I immediately knew I had made a great purchase. The rod feels light and balanced with a ton of sensitivity. I was afraid that the more general purpose line wouldn’t perform quite to the standards of my zolo; however, I’ll say it definitely meets my needs.

    This is a great rod for the money and I’ll be adding additional alx rods to my line up in the future.

    Awesome Rod

    I'm using the Hammer 73 for Frogs fishing. First time caught 2 descent size bass like nothing strong back bone to set the hook I will be purchasing more in the future. By far the best for the price.

    I have the IKOS Hammer 73 and the Promise 73 and these are my go to, favorite rods!! The look, feel, and sensitivity are amazing! Couldn’t be happier with my purchases! Made in the USA means a lot as well for me!! Can’t recommend these rods/company enough!!
