Description

The Brawler was designed for close-range presentations where accuracy, control, and lifting power all matter. The upper section helps accurately place jigs and Texas rigs quietly into tight cover while maintaining the strength needed to move fish quickly once they commit.

Deeper in the blank, the rod carries the muscle needed for braided line, big hooks, and heavy-cover situations. The longer length gives anglers the reach to manage line and guide fish away from grass, wood, or docks before they bury deeper into trouble and at the same time allowing big hooksets in deep water due to the length.

The result is a rod that excels at pitching and flipping but still has the range to handle offshore jigs or heavier bottom presentations on structure when needed.

Excellent!

Got this to jack some toads on the Delta. Been great so far. It's more parabolic than my other brand of flipping/pitching rods with same rating and I think this rod will perform better. Lighter, more sensitive, looks better and loads up well. Good with straight braid. The first outing I used it with a lighter 3/4oz weight pitching a Destroyer around tules and mats. Handled the fish I caught that day just fine. Cant wait to put this rod to work some more. Prob great for true FLIPPING as well.

My favorite pitching rod. Great tip for accuracy, light weight and sensitive, and very powerful to turn the fish and get them out of the woods. The bass are no match for a Brawler.

Great Offshore Rod!!!

This rod is my go to offshore rod. I can throw 1/2 sled head a mile and get a good hook set on long casts. I also love to throw Carolina rigs on this rod the extra length helps to throw a Carolina rig.

Great 1/2oz jig rod!

LOVE this rod. Was looking for a new 1/2oz jig rod for flipping/pitching mostly around deep milfoil and this rod did not disappoint! Light, sensitive and tons of muscle to slam the hook home and pull them out of deep weed clumps. Running 50lbs braid as my main line with a 20lbs fluoro leader. Couldn't be happier!

Nice jig rod

I did lots of homework looking for a good ledge rod for 1/2 to 3/4 ounce jigs. The Brawler performed I like hoped it would today on G’ville. Found a couple of schools of stubborn bass but the ones that i did get to bite my jig got to feel the power of the Brawler. This rod is strong and has sensitivity too! I could tell when I was in the Shell beds and could feel the line dragging up on stumps so I could hope my jig over them without hanging up and breaking off my jig. I have 3 ALX rods now and the next rod I buy will be an ALX rod. Quality, feel, look, and light weight. Give ALX a try. I’m a very satisfied customer!!!
