ZOLO Hover Spinning Rod

Forward-facing sonar often targets fish positioned well away from the boat. The ZOLO Hover is designed to reach them, rolling minnows and Damiki rigs naturally while balancing casting distance with the hook setting power needed to connect with suspended fish.

Description

Techniques like strolling, hover rigs, Damiki rigs, and jighead minnows often require presenting a bait to fish positioned 50’+ from the boat. The Hover’s longer spinning rod platform loads light jighead minnows efficiently for accurate long-distance casts while maintaining the sensitivity needed to detect subtle bites on light line. Its responsive tip keeps finesse baits moving naturally, while the backbone provides the hook control required to keep fish pinned when they commit far from the boat.

Zolo hover

I’m very happy with my rod. I’ve got a few other rods from ALX I love how light and balanced they are.

Perfect design

This rod is spot on for the technique it was designed for. Did some damiki rig fishing in 70’ plus water and it performed great. The action played out every fish perfectly and put every fish that hooked up in the boat.

Perfection!

This rod is absolutely perfect for damiki and strolling techniques. The length, power, and action are on point! I’ve thrown swimbait heads up to 1/2 oz with no issues. The length and action is perfect for loading the lure on casts, long or short, but also has the backbone to bury the hook on long casts when fish bite. The sensitivity is exactly what you expect from the Zolo series; I can feel the lightest bites.

Great Got Me the Win.

Great rod. I purchased a couple of these to try out as soon as they were released. I actually used this rod to fish the X-Nanahan +2 and a Nishine Spybait. Both were got key bites and this rod was perfect for those tiny baits. Got the win with these rods on Bullards Bar, one of the strangest lakes you will ever fish as there are a lot of 1lb or less spots and then there are GIANTS. Nothing in between. Not sure how that is possible... Anyways, don't be fooled by the name. This rod will perform many light-line tasks.
