  • ZOLO JPS - 6'8", Med, Fast Spinning

Built to handle size 90 and 110 jerkbaits, the ALX Rods ZOLO JPS fills the need for a spinning rod built specifically for twitch baits. A short handle paired with the correct working length makes the JPS an indispensable tool for the angler looking for that hard-to-find jerkbait rod in a spinning style design. While forward-facing sonar has changed bass fishing by making the jerkbait a year-round technique for many anglers - we discovered in testing that the JPS performs very well with shakey heads and small jig head + 2"-3" swimbait combos.

Best Jerkbait spinning rod I’ve found

I fish mainly on rivers where making quick and accurate casts into tight spots is a must. For this reason, I’d always looked for a spinning rod designed for Jerkbaits and other treble hook baits and the JPS has taken the crown. It is perfectly designed for Jerkbaits and other twitch baits such as poppers and prop baits. The tips makes imparting action on these types of baits effortless. Once you have a fish hooked the soft tip prevents the treble hooks from ripping out, but the rod has enough power to control big fish. I have caught multiple 5+lb river smallmouth on this rod and it plays them perfectly. I have tried Jerkbaits, poppers, prop baits, 90 ploppers, and small walking baits on this rod and it has excelled at each application.
